[Divinity: Original Sin 2] An Epic Adventure Experience

I recommend listening to this music while reading - it's the main theme that plays repeatedly in the game

Before playing, I never imagined a turn-based game could make me so addicted. I give it my highest adventure experience rating. I couldn't have imagined my first playthrough would exceed 120 hours. You never feel bored during the adventure - you just feel like you opened the game in the morning, and before you know it, it's dark. This game kept me playing from December 2022 to August 2023.

I've forgotten where to begin telling the story. Like in "Skyrim" where your story begins on a cart as a criminal, in Divinity: Original Sin 2, you wake up on a sick bed, playing someone about to be transported to "Fort Joy" on a ship. Then your adventure unfolds - making new friends, starting your legend. Behind every story are various interconnected relationships. Your choices determine your companions' futures and the future of your entire game world. Will a new god be born, or will divine power be shared with the world? Does something really only have "right" or "wrong" attributes?

Even though real life doesn't have such exciting adventures, the game's adventures still touched me in many ways. Do you choose to forgive enemies or kill them to satisfy your hatred? Do you help strangers who have nothing to do with you? Or pretend you didn't see them, knowing they can't offer any reward?

Every time I finish a game with a legendary story experience, I always feel like I just returned from another world. The protagonist's story in the game just ended, but my own story in reality continues. Making every choice I believe I won't regret - I think that's the best feeling games give me.

Everyone is their own Source mage, but everyone also has their own collar restraining their Source power

Some Screenshots from the Game

Screenshots from when I played last December. At that time, my equipment was complete and I thought I could crush all monsters (then got crushed by the assassination squad in Arx)

Strongest combat power, assemble!

Fane couldn't fit, so he had to sit across

The Red Prince sleeps curled up - apparently this is an insecure sleeping position. But he already has a dragon baby...

Every point of light across represents a candle, each representing a soul devoured by demons...

Trash talk before the final battle - the villain says her biological father is my teammate!!! What should she call me then?

Accusing her father like a child. They say every adult spends their life repairing childhood trauma and seeking what they couldn't get back then.

The final choice. When it really came to this moment, I still hesitated. Should I become a god? Or can I really bear all this?

Playing as Lohse really gave me extreme immersion haha. I feel like her personality is very similar to mine - another me in another world.

Of course, I still chose to become a god, because if there really was such an opportunity, I would try it.
